Kineto Tracking Mount (KTM) Skid Van (Catalog #04000-013) Contract: White Sands Missile Range, NM; 9/88 - 3/93

White Sands required KTM Skid Vans to support their optical tracking capabilities. EMI fabricated 23 systems, consisting of 12' x 8' x 8' shelter and generator systems mounted onto GFE tow vehicles. The shelters contain ECU, cable reels, slide-out 15 kw generators, slide-out equipment racks, storage units and work surfaces, and communication patch panels. Twenty-three units were ordered, and EMI completed all requirements on time and within budget.

Monitoring Trailers (Catalog #04000-007) Contract: White Sands Missile Range, NM; 5/93 - 9/93

White Sands required 12-foot monitoring trailers to be used to transport and shelter electronic instrumentation at remote sites. EMI modified Wells Cargo shelters with electrical system and signal feed through panel, and provided power capability from firm power or two on-board 4500 W generators. EMI finished interior surfaces and provided entry steps, security provisions and solar powered battery chargers. The shelters are furnished with ECU, microwave, refrigerator, water cooler, work surfaces and cabinets, and electronic equipment racks. EMI installed a GFE antenna for the base radio.

LANL 20' SHELTER MOD (Catalog #04000-028) Contract: Los Alamos National Lab, NM; 5/93 - 9/93

EMI modified a 20-ft. long, customer-furnished two-room shelter. Modifications in the rear storage room included a 10-ft. tall roof bumpout, additional wiring, lighting fixtures, and a diamond treadplate floor covering. In the front office area, EMI installed laminated work surface and window coverings. EMI purchased and installed an intercom system to connect the two rooms. Work was completed within a two-week time period.

TIPS II Vehicle (Catalog #04000-019) Contract: Eglin AFB, FL; 4/90 through 2/91

EMI designed and fabricated a mobile, self-contained 24-foot instrumentation vehicle to house and extend the operation of the Thermal Image Processing System II. The removable body is air transportable via a C-141 or C-5. The exterior is outfitted with a reinforced roof, permanent access ladder and 3" kick plate, with mounts for azimuth, elevation positioner, and satellite antenna. Tool storage unit, air conditioner/heater and 1500 lb. capacity hydraulic tailgate were installed. The interior is finished with carpeted walls, acoustical tile ceiling, and plenum floor to house instrumentation wiring. It is furnished with equipment racks, desk, computer work station, chairs, cabinets, film storage unit, reel storage rack, refrigerator and microwave oven.

Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) Van I (Catalog #04000-001) Contract: White Sands Missile Range, NM; 9/89 - 7/90

EMI designed and fabricated a 24-foot transportable electronic countermeasures system van. EMI installed air conditioner/heaters; galley with microwave oven and refrigerator; computer work station, desk and storage cabinets; slide-out equipment racks; and an elaborate video and communications system with patch panels. On the exterior, EMI constructed a storable aluminum entrance platform, reinforced roof deck with guard rails, access ladder, and winch mount. A 5000 lb. capacity liftgate and two skid-mounted generators with vibration isolators were provided. A second similar van was built by EMI, but without the electronics.

FADRS Van (Catalog #04000-002) Contract: White Sands Missile Range, NM; 9/89 - 2/90

EMI contracted with White Sands to design and fabricate a shelter and interface it onto a six-wheel-drive GFE truck. EMI refurbished the truck, performed the engineering, and fabricated and integrated a 12-f00t shelter onto the truck. EMI finished the shelter with wiring and lighting, carpeted walls, vinyl tile floor, and acoustical ceiling tiles.

Mobile Fiber Optic Service Laboratory (MFOSL) (Catalog #04000-010) Contract: Patrick AFB, FL; 12/88 - 12/89

This Patrick AFB contract required EMI to perform modifications to two 16-foot Wells Cargo trailers to serve as mobile fiber optic service laboratory vans. The vans support the space shuttle fiber optic communications systems at Cape Canaveral. The vans were equipped with ECU, storage cabinets cabinets with work surface, 7.5 kw generators and the latest in fiber optic fusion splicing equipment.

Seeker Control Van (Catalog #04000-016) Contract: Eglin AFB, FL; 4/88 - 3/89

Eglin AFB contracted with EMI to design and fabricate one 32-foot Seeker Control Van which could be driven into a C-141 without disassembly. EMI performed the engineering and system integration at our facility.
